hi, i need your help, i am starting to build a pc, it's been quite some time (years) since my last build, so i am almost a noob, i've purchased a ASUS X99-M WS motherboard and i'm still waiting for it to arrive i made all calculations for the PSU and end up choosing a Corsair 650RMx, but i just realized that the motherboard uses dual 8pin connectors for the cpu, and know i dont know if the PSU i've choosed is compatible because of that dual 8pin...
can you help me, is it compatiblible or am i missing a 8pin connector?
thanks for the help

thanks for your help!
That's what i thought...so i do need another cable, because i am going to overclock it later, the cpu is a intel i7 5820k, but that means that i have to plug both in the pcie and cpu connector and i am only left with one slot for the GPU wright?
i have no interest in dual GPUs...
here's some images maybe its easier...

You will still be able to overclock just with the 1 x 8 pin EPS connector. If you were going for extreme overclocks, then you would need the 2nd EPS socket. You can buy 8 pin splitter cables but you shouldn't need it.

So you only need to plug in one of the pci-e cables for the graphics card, as they have 2 x 6+2 connectors on the end which is enough for a single gpu. Then just plug the EPS cable into the 4+4 cpu socket on the psu.

so if i understand correctly, if i wanted to connect everything (wich i might not need as you pointed out) i would need another PSU with two 4+4 cpu socket, correct?
Anyhow thank you for the help! ;)

If you wanted to connect both of the EPS sockets then you could just buy a splitter cable like the one below. Try it with the single 8 pin connector first though as it should be fine.
