First of all these are the specs:

I7 6700K

Asrock z170 extreme4

R9 390x

Antec green 750w

Kingston HyperX 8gb single stick.

So, my computer was running totally fine for the past couple of months when yesterday I tried to restart it because windows couldn't load the Explorer.exe and was stuck.

As soon as I pressed the restart button just the power on button led lit up.

There were no lights on the mouse or keyboard either.

The display didn't even flash a single time.

It's just the power led that is lit up.

The CPU fan is running properly, GPU shows that both the power wires are providing sufficient power.

But the motherboard just gets stuck on ERROR CODE 00.

The code says there is a problem with the cpu. But everything was just fine for past couple of months, there's no possible reason for the wires to get lose(which I tried to plug back again but no luck)

Just one restart and BAM! Code 00 Forever.

Please help me with this as I have tons of work to do and submit for my exams.

Thanks in Advance.

You never said you reset CMOS.... reset CMOS and see what happens.

I switched off the machine, pressed the clear cmos button for around 5 seconds, after that the cpu started up but with the same error code 00.

i would recommend a core 2 dou next time. the i7 6700k is notorious for error code 00. the fix is remove the cpu and reboot. then put it back in and see if it works. it may require cleaning the contacts with 98% pure iso alchohol

You mean start the computer without a cpu in it? Then put it back and start again?
