There is no reason to have it enabled imo, my PC takes 30 seconds to boot up and I don't care, I'd rather have a more stable system vs one that turns on quicker.

I've played around with it -  it didn't seem to make much difference but then again my os is installed on my sm951 so that might be why it doesn't make much difference to me

Generally its enabled by manufactures and people who want speed, the counter side is people with dual boots, bios lovers, and people who have a lot of start-ups or just worry about system stability.
