Hey guys, I need your help.

So im in Australia and need some help with planing 2 new builds. One is for myself and will be my main computer so I would like something nice, but the other is for my little brother. He is down every weekend and I feel like it's time for him to have something of his own. He has always watched over my shoulder and when I'm at work I let him borrow it.

So I have not chosen a budget yet as I have no idea what prices are like at the moment but my computer will have to deal with me playing it almost every day. I'm thinking I will have $2,500 to spend on both. So please keep in mind his only has to play games. Nothing fancy as if he kills it I don't need to be out of pocket $1000 to get him a new one. We don't need keyboards or mice and I would like a new monitor but he will get mine.

I understand I'm asking a lot but due to my current job I didn't keep up with the new stuff and what's good or not.

Eddit: Also you don't need to do the hole build just the main parts. Cd dives and HDD are covered.

This build might start in 3 weeks.

I'm afraid to swear now because the overlords might hurt me.

What is your build going to be used for? Any multi-tasking, workstation applications you're going to be doing?

Secondly, what games does your brother play? What sort of settings would he prefer to play at 1080p?

No not really. Just gaming and streaming. Maybe just a heap of tabs open?

He is into all those Indi games but at 1080p for AAA game. Medium?

DUDE!!

This is amazing! The builds look sweet! I'm sick of my old computer and just want it to go away. This should do the trick.

Sorry, meant to say $2515 instead of $2015. I'm too tired lol.

Just a quick run through of the builds. The hyperthreading on the i7 6700K will definitely help in streaming and the GTX 970 should be able to maintain a steady 1080p 60FPS on Ultra settings. Use the SSD as a boot drive for the OS. Overclock to your heart's content with the Pure Rock.

For your brother, I've kept it simple with the GTX 950 in a small form factor. Should handle most AAA games at medium-high settings.

Mate, you are a lifesaver! I have been so stressed on the build as I wasn't staying in the loop of the latest goss.

And the last thing I want is to deal with a sales man telling me what's best and over selling everything.

You our are a bloody champion!
