Which laptop should I go for?

Hi guys,

So I'm about to buy a laptop for some light on-the-go gaming. I have two choices in mind.
1) Acer Aspire E 15 E5-574G-52QU which has a gtx 940M with 4 gb vram

2) Acer Aspire 15.6-Inch Gaming Laptop which has 2 gb dedicated vram ddr3

So which one is better, graphics and performance for gaming wise?

And if you have any other recommendations about a gaming laptop within the budget of 550 USD let me know

Thank you and have a nice day

both should be pretty similar as they have virtually the same specs (and at 1080p the difference in vram won't affect perfromance) but a 940M isn't going to do to well with a 1080p screen. What sort of games do you intend to play as you may want to look for something with a lower resolution screen as it will result in a better fps than a 1080p screen. If your only intending to play older pc games then both will be fine

Maybe like counter strike global offensive or a little bit of minecraft.

Both will have heat issue and poor build as well as poor customer support. Avoid Acer for laptops unless you are buying a Predator

No, actually no. I'd recommend an Asus K550JX as a good budget option or their X550.

I did not see that coming.

Y50 costs around 850$ and the OP's budget is obviously lower than that. The K550 and X550 both hover around 500-700$ and are a MUCH better price:performance option
