As the title reads.

I've been trying to use my Olympus EP-3 as a webcam for a while now but I have no idea how to. Adobe Lightroom does allow for tethered shooting but to use it as a webcam, I'm just out of ideas. Can someone point me in the right direction?

can you just buy a webcam? you can get decent ones for cheap nowadays

Thing is, I already have a webcam but it's only good for doing twitch streams as a facecam. I need a camera that can actually pick up the details when I do DJ live streams like the example below.

It's okay when at small resolutions but when it goes full screen, it's very blurry

Since the camera has an HDMI out, you probably could use a capture card to connect it to your computer.

So thanks for reading guys, if this post sucked, I'm not sure what you can do, but if you liked it, go 'head and hit that like button, or maybe add me as a friend. I was afraid of this answer. Guess I'll need a capture card to really use it as a capture device on xsplit.

Before pulling the trigger on a capturing device, I'd check to see of the HDMI port on your camera can actually output a stream live as many cameras can only display video that has already been shot and saved to memory rather than.

If you watch Paul on Paulsharware, he explains that this is the reason that he got another Panasonic GH4 as his point and shoot couldn't output anything that could be captured live.

Capture cards are kinda out of out of my realm...

and depends on what you mean by "cheap"

The Elgato HD60 is probbs the most popular and they also have them as a extrenal brick or a PCI-e expansion card

AverMedia also makes some

and if you go higher end, Black Magic
