Hello everyone I'm planning a PC build with a budget of 600-700 USD (not including peripherals which I have already bought such as mouse, keyboard). The aim of my build is a somewhat high end gaming PC and just that. Games like Fallout 4, Dark Souls 3, Star Wars Battlefront, League Of Legends, and I'm contempt with medium settings I don't need maximum, I care more about performance. No editing, no recording, just gaming with friends and Skype, watching YouTube and that's it. Pretty simple I think. I have all of my parts planned out but before I purchase I'm very nervous because I've only helped build my friends PC before and I want to make sure my system is compatible. I will list parts below, ask for links if you need them. Thank you so much :-)

Motherboard: 1x ASUS H81M-A MicroATX DDR3

Case: 1x Rosewill Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case FBM-01 - $30.00

Power Supply: 1x EVGA 500W1 - $40.00

CPU/Processor: 1x Intel G3258 4 Pentium 3.20 GHZ Dual Core Processor - $70.00 (not sure if I should spend some more and upgrade to a quad core, if so, any recommendations with the GTX 960 I'm going for?)

GPU/Graphics Card: 1x EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 SuperClocked 4GB GDDR5 128bit - $205.00

RAM: 2x Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Single DDR3 DIMM 1600 MT/s (Running in Dual-Channel for better performance) - $65.00

OS: 1x Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64Bit System Builder OEM PC Disk - $85.00

HDD: 1x 3.5in WD Blue 1TB Desktop HDD 7200 RPM

All of this totals out to be $602.01 American dollars. I'll need an optical drive to load the OS off of its disk so any recommendations for that would be much appreciated, also for the processor I'd love a Quad Core i5 but I don't know which one to go for. Thank you so much to anyone who can help and anything is much appreciated.

Thanks! I actually might, how well does the R9 Fury perform? Is it like a 970 or so?

The R9 fury is whole 'nother card that comes it at around 500$, I think you mean the 380?

The 380 is not as good as a 970, but that difference can be seen very good in it's price. The 970 is around 350$, while the 380 is around 240$ which is quite a big difference. If you are able to afford something like a 970, I'd rather get an 390, because it's overall a bit more powerful and IMO more futureproof

to game or not to game, that`s the question
