Laptop Help? - $1500 USD Budget

Hey guys, I consider myself tech savvy but I'm not very confident when it comes to laptops. 

 

I'm looking for a laptop that's great for a student who likes to play games like Europa Universalis IV (CPU intensive.) I would also like for it to have a good battery. 

 

My budget it $1500

:o I love EUIV, and CKII, pretty much all Parodox games. A Haswell a and up i5 would be fine, then you can worry about the GPU.

ASUS ROG G752VL-DH71  is a pretty decent laptop.

Just a heads up, gaming laptops have weak battery life.

Screen size?

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

T460p, Y700 ( the 14 inch model) and MSI gs40. They are all 14 inch laptops with a quad core cpu in them.
