What part to upgrade next?

Hi,

 

I have a relatively solid build, a r9 390 and a 4690k. However, I don't know what I should be upgrading next, to push my settings up to max and not a mix of very high / high.

 

Ideas?

More Ram. A second GPU. A better CPU? Or you could just wait for a while and do a total system overhaul/build when Pascal/Polaris cards mature ( around 2017).

If you dont have a ssd yet get that, if you have a shitty mouse/keyboard/monitor/mousepad/headphones etc you could also upgrade that. Your hardware itself doesnt need an upgrade if you are playing 1080p maxed or 1440p high.

That's the issue. It doesn't quite reach maxed on 1080p at all, just a mix of maxed and high. The problem I am having is knowing what to do to push it that little bit further.

What are you trying to play? A 390 and that CPU should easily do 1080p max in most titles...
