Pretty much. Just check the OEM's support site and get a bios on or after the one that says added NVMe support. It's possible if your motherboard is old enough that the manufacturer didn't bother updating the bios to support it, in which case you're stuck at the 550 mbps speeds or so, instead of the 2500 mbps.

I know for my 950 pro there was a bios update and there was also an .exe windows program from their website aswell. Ususally if the bios allows it to run at full speed you should be fine.
