Looking for earbuds under $40

I'm looking for some new earbuds since my old Creative EP-630 finally broke after 7 years :o I'm not willing to spend any more than $40. I mainly listen to various types of electronic music (progressive house, drum and bass, french house, trance, etc). I will be using these earbuds almost exclusively with my smartphone (Galaxy S4) and I'll probably mess around with the sound using ViperFX. While sound quality is what matters the most to me, build quality is also an important factor since I will be using them solely outside so I want them to be as durable as possible. So far I've narrowed it down to the following models:

  • SoundMagic E10 (Is the only difference between those and E10S the lack of a mic and volume control? Is there any difference in sound?)
  • Brainwavz M1
  • Sennheiser CX 300 II

Based on reviews I've read online I'm leaning towards the SoundMagic E10. Do you think it's a good choice? If you'd like to suggest other models at a similar price point, feel free to do so. I will definitely check them out.

for IEM (what you listed there is IEM)
what you listed there is good
Soundmagic E10 is great choice by the way, i used to have those, and e10 sounds great

brainwavz proalpha is also a good choice since they are similiar to brainwavz m1, but have a bigger bass

mdr-xb50ap are well regarded if you are a bass head, although it cuts into the highs and mids abit. They are very comfortable as long as you don't lie on them. Although i'm not sure about the price, amazon have weird pricing but i bought mine at a converted price of 46.33 usd at a sony store

I just got the Soundmagic E10 and they're great. They sound a lot better than my previous earphones and the build quality seems to be very good. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions :)
