OBS Not Capturing Desktop

Final update: forcing the application to run with iGPU worked. Can capture anything correctly. 

I couldn't find a thread that pertained to my issue, so here is a new one. I first tried using OBS studio, and had issues capturing audio, so I uninstalled and attempted to use the classic version. Now with the different version, I can capture game and window footage, but get a black screen when I attempt to capture my  monitor. I should also note that capturing games and windows works fine. Thanks in advance!!!
