ssd laptop upgrade

Go to solution Solved by Senzelian,

You have to clone your files from your HDD to your SSD, which is only possible if your SSD is the same size or larger than your HDD.
You need a program like "AOMEI backupper" for cloning.

If your HDD is larger than your SSD, you'll have to reinstall windows entirely.

I have just but a ocz trion 100 (120gb) ssd, to upgrade my laptops hhd,

I copyed my operation system and some files onto the ssd, then swaped the ssd into the laptop then booted up the laptop. But all i get is an error code 0x0000225

Any ideas what i am doing wrong and how can a solve this thanks!

thats not how it works

you have to install it on the drive

or atleast mirror the drive, but im assuming your ssd isnt as large as your hard disk so this isnt a viable option

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
