Older GPU?

Hi Guys,

 

So i useto fold a few years ago, and decided to return today. Now i still have the same GPU GTX670. My first job has come in with an estimated completion of 8days. have i just been unlucky or is it because my card is a bit outdated now? i seem to remeber most jobs takeing hours not days

FYI, it just changed to being completed in 5 hours  Panic over

Well, that's how it goes . The client needs some time to get abit of work 
done to have something to base the estimates on. So wait a few percent

before expecting anything reasonably accurate. 

 

I am still folding with my 7950, people are also folding on more dated/weaker

hardware, your 670 is fine.

I think the difficulty rate has become a lot higher in those years.

Folding started with folding @ home, a way for users to donate computing power to universities to complete protein folding. I have heard of some people turning it into a criptocurrency, but that is not where the concept comes from nor it has taken off.
