Cannot install Microsoft Office 2013

Every time I install Microsoft Office 2013, it either says it can't write to the registry and will now exit, or it installs successfully but then pops up a window saying "Microsoft Office is now configuring" every single time I launch the program. The configuration then fails and I have to exit the application/ Or, even worse, the configuration completes and asks me to reboot, and then when I reboot and open Word again it starts the same process all over again. This is really frustrating. How do I fix this?

Yeah, but apparently there are still some "Office -related programs" causing issues. There's nothing in my control panel left to uninstall though

I've had a similar problem with my 365 University on my laptop. What I did was uninstall office, use CCleaner to make sure it's all gone and the reg is fixed and reinstall. Otherwise google for it, seems to be a common problem.
