Backup RAID 0 HDD array with external hard drive

What is the best way to use a 2TB external hard drive to back up my entire 2TB RAID array? I want to make my PC automatically back up my files to the external drive each time I plug it in without me having to do anything. Is this possible?  I'm not very experienced with storage so I'm not sure :P I don't even have an SSD yet
