WinXP Build: Draxus

SHAD0WxF1R3

*Note This is In NO WAY a good way to build your PC, this was a rushed project, and I in no intention recommend that you reproduce any of things I do here. (Except build a nostalgia machine just cause :P*

Good News Everyone!

This is my first build log! (Shoulda done my main rig, but I digress)

and I finally scrounged up enough parts to build my nostalgia machine.

I named it Draxus, just cause I thought it sounded cool, if you have a better name, please share it! I might use it!

Here are the system specs:

Spoiler

CPU - Triple Core AMD Phenom X3 8550, 2200MHz
Motherboard - Biostar N685+
Ram - 1x 2gb stick of DDR2 - 800MHz ram and 1x 1gb stick of ram, unknown clock speed
Graphics Card - Radeon 9200 PRO
Sound Card - SoundBlaster Audigy 2
Storage - 1x 320gb Hard Drive w/ Linux and 1x 260gb Hard Drive w/ WinXP
Peripherals-

    -CD/DVD Writer/Reader

    - Old I-INC VGA Display
    - Old Membrane Keyboard
    - Old Logitech mouse
    - Old Speaker set

The reason I am "Dual Booting" this setup (And I use dual booting lightly, since I have to manually press F9 during startup and choose the drive I wanna use)

is because having Windows XP is great, but many programs aren't using it anymore, and Ubuntu allows this system to perform modern tasks without sacrificing speed.

If anyone would like too see screenshots or other things leave a reply! Also, Game recommendations are highly valued, seeing as how that is the main purpose of this build.

Images? YOU WANT IMAGES?! Okay. But I warn you, they are of potato quality.

Cable Management is an issue, but it's fine since You can't see inside with the side panel on. (Pardon the Dust, it is an old system)

Less blurry closeup shot. (Also Notice the Duct Tape holding up the Graphics and Sound Cards, because I had no spare screws that would fit. SO YAY FOR GHETTO RIGGING!)

Two hard drives I had laying around for said project.
