Hey guys I just built a new pc and I'm having a ton of issues. I was hoping to get some help, I haven't built a new system in 4 years so I'm a bit rusty, especially when it comes to overclocking and stuff.

My parts are in the signature.

First problem: Lower fps in games with SLI enabled.

I am running 2 980Ti's overclocked to 1450 mhz. My previous pc had a single 980Ti. My FPS in league of legends was ~450 with Gsync off and 165 with it turned on(obviously).

Now in my new PC I can't get above 110 fps, and I get stuttering issues.

Second problem: When I enable XMP in bios my computer won't boot. I have DDR4 3200 memory, but I can't get it to run at it's advertised speed using xmp.

Third problem: Extremely Slow boot times. My pc will boot into bios very fast, but after it posts my screen goes black for about 30 seconds before the windows logo appears and starts to load my OS.

I also have a question. I've used Asus's AIsuite to overclock my pc and it says that I'm getting about 4.5 GHZ with no sweat, but CPUz doesn't reflect that unless I'm putting a load on the CPU. When I disable turbo mode and manually overclock to 4.5 Ghz my pc won't load and I have to reset the CMOS. Suggestions?

CPU: Ryzen 5950X Ram: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 3600 CL14 | Graphics: GIGABYTE GAMING OC RTX 3090 |  Mobo: GIGABYTE B550 AORUS MASTER | Storage: SEAGATE FIRECUDA 520 2TB PSU: Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 12 - 1500W | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU & LG C1

1. For the ram, what voltage are you running?

2. Dos LOL support SLI? Is there any other games you can use to test? I don't even know why you would wanna use 2x 980ti in LOL if one is already capping out gsync

3. Load times, are the correct raid options enabled in the bios? Do you have quick boot enabled?

The voltage is on Auto for the ram, I figured I didn't need to touch it if it was going to run at stock speeds.

I have plenty of other games, that one is the easiest to test. My other games get < 60 fps now. (fallout 4, far cry primal, witcher 3)

I currently have my raid disabled for troubleshooting, my OS is on a single M.2 SSD.

try setting the ram voltage to 1.55v and see if that helps

Don't wanna sound like a dick lol, you do have the SLI bridge fitted and SLI enabled in the driver? There is also a few other settings to enable/check to max performance in the driver settings.

Have you tried the newer card on its own?

As for the slow load, theres a program somewhere that monitors what takes the longest time to load during a boot, google it.

I would also consider wiping your GPU drivers using driver cleaner and reinstall

For your overclock: depending on the parameters you set for the AI Suite overclocking, it will up the voltage as long as temps don't go out of control. If you're only manually changing the multiplier, it's crashing because it needs more voltage. I used AI Suite for my 5930 to get a baseline, and then dialed in a manual OC and removed all the AI suite software. Mine is now at 4.4Ghz at 1.3v.

Which MBO do you have? Are you on latest BIOS? Does your PC boot with XMP with only one stick of ram?

X-99 Deluxe, latest bios and drivers. (I've tried rolling it back too). No it won't boot into XMP with either stick on its own. I can however set the clock speed to 3000 manually without using XMP and it seems to work.

Well I'm fine with AI suite doing it, but it seems to only be changing the turbo settings and not the real core clock. Is there a way to fix that?

I've tried both cards on their own and they run with the same great performance on my old pc as a test. I can't run them in SLI on my old pc because there aren't enough slots or room, but individually they run about the same. No problem about being a dick dude, it's a good question. I reseated the SLI bridge and stuff. I am using a 3 way SLI bridge for a 2 way configuration. Could that be a problem?

Not sure, you should have a SLI bridge with your motherboard, do you have the box and stuff still? I would try swapping that

When did the slow boots begin?

I'm using the one it came with which is a 3 way. It's been slow booting from the beginning.

Ok, for the slow booting I would try a none raid single boot drive and see if that is ok (lot of work, but will help solve the issue)

Have you tried different PCIE slot for the second card? I'm pretty sure that they should be in certain slots for 2/3/4x sli
