Hi guys,

Looking for some advice on the best possible PC for 500-600 (Prefer it is to lower)

What's needed:

  • Be able to play CS GO easily (I know it's not hard but still)
  • Be able to play regular games like GTA, Call of Duty etc at mid to high settings 1080p

Any help would be appreciated :)

Sam

If you need an OS, just drop the GPU down to a 960.

The extra £40... can be a boot SSD? Feel free to swap out the GPU for the red-team 380x option as Im sure someone will be here to shout at you to do so. The difference is negligible.

EDIT: OEM windows key you can pick up for £20. http://www.kinguin.net/category/22175/windows-10-home-oem-key/

paying retail is for suckers.

That's 50 pounds above the budget and the power supply isn't available in the UK, also avoid the 8350 its getting pretty old now going with a i5 is a wiser choice for gaming where single core performance matters.

You just mentioned the budge being an issue and you want him to go with the i5 being a $100 more?
If the PSU isn't an option and we are over 50, just drop it a bronze 550w and that should make up the difference.

if you save up a bit in the case and board you can get a i5 and a better power supply (You can get the 970 if you want to stick with 1080p for some time or need Nvidia features)

The i5 isn't a 100 more dollars, and you can save up on the board and cooler since you don't need as much cooling nor as good power delivery for the chip since it has a lower power requirement.

Aye. I just adapted a build I was making for my friend that was initially an m-ITX build. i5 would be ideal. i3 still blows anything AMD has to offer out of the water for gaming. Hell an overclocked pentium chip will blow most AMD chips out of the water nowadays.

I'd go with the Intel build anyways.
I just wanted to show it was possible.

I tried to make it possible but couldn't, UK has vat tax and different cost of living so use the pcpartpicker UK website since its not just a case of converting the currency. (You can do it with a cheaper GPU though)

I think the FX should come with a stock heat sink so you could drop the 212 Evo and save another £26.99.
But CastDeath's intel build would be a little better choice. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hNHMJx
He's right when he says Intel's single core performance is way stronger than the AMD's.
