Android on Chromebooks

So, not sure how many people have heard about this, but supposedly Google is killing the Chrome OS, and integrating Android into it....or something like that. I've tried looking into it more, and have found very little information, aside from it's supposed to be happening with Android N.

 

Basically, has anyone heard anymore details about this? Any idea when we're going to get Android on Chromebooks? We have some Chromebooks, and are really looking forward to running Android apps natively.

I will be putting Android OS (N, or whatever it is called) on my old laptop the day they release it. Haha. 

 

Edit: Can't really say old, it is from 2013 and has a crappy I5 with 6GB of ram. So not horrible but nothing special. Great for a Android PC though.

Yup this is true. ChromeOS works for light weight computers and so does android as it works on phones so why not combine them. This is pretty cool as all Android apps will work natively but I already had been using Twerk and that worked nicely
