WinRAR CRC error

Hello guys and gals and those in between

 

i know this is a tall ask and a long shot, but, recently, my minecraft world bit the dust and crashed my server, i have no clue how long it had been like that as i had not played it for a while.

 

so, sadly,mmy host said i would need to reinstall it all, which i did... I also took copy of the world in a hope i could check on it, ad i used it to kerp intouch with a friend who, at the time, didnt have my email adress, so, im worried he may have left me a note in the world, if so, i would need to read it, if not, im worried also, he may have seen my server offline for a while and assumed i have closed it for good, which i didn"t.

 

 

 

so, i am asking for help greatly, if anyone knows pf any spftware that can repair/byapss these errors ? I have used the winrar built in repair,mbut, to no avail. Any help would be hreatly appreciated

Here is some information from winzip that might help. But usually when you have a CRC error the file is toast. Best of luck!

Sadly it did not work, i believe, like you said, my minecraft world is now toast

Sorry to bother you a 3rd time,

 

with some...persistanc, i managed to salvage the world files amongst others and have sucessfully rendered the world in game, sadly, some of it was ruined when i new one rendered in parts... There are about another... 20 map files to check, which i shall work on during the day, thank you very much

Glad it was not all for nothing. Hopefully you have enough to make contact with your friend again!

yes, me too!

 

when i got into my old world, i instantly went to his home, and good thing, there had been no new note dropped in

 

in my new world, i put a note chest right at spawn point, so, should he join, it will be there for him
