Hello friends,

So recently ive started experiencing really bad video playback on youtube, twitch and other media players on my system.

Setup:

i7-4790k

Asrock Z97 Extreme6/3.1

24GB g.skill ripjawsX 1600

EVGA gtx 980 SC acx 2.0

Windows 8.1 64bit

Fractal Design Newton R3 1000w

Acer g276hl gbd

So im pulling my hair out trying to resolve this issue that has all of my media including Youtube and Twitch displaying very poorly in quality. Ive tried everything i can think of to resolve this. Everything is at stock speeds, drivers fully updated after being completely uninstalled, even windows is freshly installed since i just switched to my current setup listed above (was i5-3570k and z77.)

Its almost like artifacts that appear in games, just VERY blocky and blurry especially against dark/black backgrounds. As well as a very washed out look. I thought at first it was my graphics card, but after switching CPU/Mobo it still exists. I even threw in my old gtx 275 and still the same issue. I thought maybe it was my psu but my bios is displaying all normal voltages.

Is this possibly a software issue? I've reinstalled chrome, tried IE and Firefox, Etc.

Maybe its my display? I cant imagine its my internet connection as i have about 230 down and 20 up on average.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. :)

ill try to include a screenshot, forgiveness if its potato quality.

In the picture you included, it looks fine... maybe a bit noticeable, but definitely not what I expected.

Kinda just looks like compression artifacts.
