Shotcut Text Help

So I use Shotcut as my video editor as it's 100% free, but I'm new to all of this. Everything. So could someone help me and tell me how to add text to the video for a set time and do this during multiple parts? I found text under filters but it's for the whole video. Anyone tips for this would be helpful also. Thank you.
