hey so my PC has a gtx570 from EVGA. it came with molex to pci-e adapters and with this being my first build i assumed i should use them. the other thing that made me think they were required was that the middle top hole in the adapters didnt have anything in it where my corsair psu did. the card itself also has all 6 pins on each socket filled aswell so i figured the adapters where built that way for a reason. hope that makes sense, the pics might help!!!

anyway the point is, with the adapters it looks pretty untidy so i wanna know if i can just use the pci-e plugs from my psu...

heres my messy cables

Of course you can use the PCI-e connectors on you're PSU ! The adapters are here just in case that you have an older power supply that lacks this kind of connectors.

ah cool thanks. its just that the adapters had 5 pins and the pci-e plugs had 6 so i was worried about over powering the card or something!!! haha
