Laptop won't boot.

I have this old Dell Inspiron that has now decided it won't boot. When I press the power button, the Dell symbol pops up with Inspiron under it, the loading bar fills, then the screen goes dark and does it again. Any ideas?

The laptop is running windows 7.

maybe broken boot record, see if you can boot on a live USB. if you can try to repair the MBR

If this doesn't work, see if you can get the hard drive out of the computer and access the files, if you can't... well its dead. If you can, it's probably another hardware problem with your computer.
