I was thinking of going for 2 500GB instead of 1 TB. Thing is it will cost 60$ more. What should I do? Is it better? Some people say it's better for using the record program on drive 1 and record the recording onto drive 2. Thats the only thing I heard good about having 2 hard drives. So what should I do?

Going with a single drive would afford less points of failure. However, that also effectively gives you a bigger chance of losing all of your data. You can get the single drive, but try to get another 1TB drive ASAP to act as a backup in case your main storage drive fails.

I'm not sure what it is... is RAID better?

There are different kinds of RAID but for the sake of easier set up just go with one.

CPU: Intel core i5 3570 Motherboard: Gigabyte-H77-DS3H Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB  GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7950 Twin Frozr III Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB  PSU: Seasonic G Series 550W

RAID stands for redundant Array of Inexpensive Devices this allows you to run multiple storage drives together and either increase performance or increase reliability. Personally if you are only installing software and files you can easily recover if a drive dies I would go for RAID 0 because its going to give you the best performance. if you plan on storing files you care about like family photos or a large music library then go for something more secure like RAID 1. if you need any help have a look at this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_RAID_levels

Depends on what you're doing. In you case, it depends on how much you care about getting a good value and what you're recording.
