Issue with Lost FPS

Hello,

 

I have an LG 34UM67-P and an ASUS 980 Ti Strix OC Edition and I recently changed my refresh rate from 60 Hz to 75 Hz. I went to the Windows Display settings to perform this action. This appeared like a built-in function to do so, and I wanted to see how it ran. However, after activating this, I've lost about 10-15 fps on my games and I don't know why. I've tried changing it back to 60 fps, taking out my GPU and putting it back in but nothing seems to work. I don't know too much about computers to begin with, so I'm at a lost.

 

Please help me if you can. I just bought this computer a week back...
