New Build

Gracin

Huge edit because I decided to go with a brand new build, and either sell my old rig or keep it handy for a later date. Been playing on pcpartpicker, and this is what I've thrown together so far. Thoughts, opinions, and trash talk are more than welcome. This will be my second build ever, so don't be surprised by large amounts of noobness coming from me.

Right now, I'm sitting just below $2600 usd on this build with the 144hz monitor. I'm gonna say that is more or less my cap.

I would personally go for a new build, but that's just me. You'd probably just be fine upgrading your GPU if you wanted to.

However, I'd like to know how much you can spend beforehand.

I didn't even think about putting a price tag. Let's say as for right now doing just an upgrade keep it under $800 for monitor and gpu. If more opinions about going to a new build, I'll reevaluate the budget.

Boy, threads get buried quick around here. Not sure if bumping is allowed, but this is it.

Well if you already have that PC, and your budget is $800, why don't you just get a 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display with a 380X?

You don't even need a single 980ti for 1080p 144hz gaming let alone 2, also don't buy an OEM windows key if you're going to buy windows

and at that budget why aren't you getting an i7 with a 1440p 144hz IPS display? Namely the Free-sync one because it's $200 less for, and you'd be fine with a single non X Fury card there.

Those card are basically going to sit idle running that display

and why 32gbs of RAM for an i5? Also your older was perfectly fine
