So my friend, wants to stream and play games and the same time with overlays, songrequest, special notifcations, all dat crap. I'm pretty sure the 6700K is enough for it. He'll be playing a lot of games like GTA. BTW, his PC will have a 390.

I would say so. The music artist (who I know), Protostar, runs an audio workstation (Reason, which is very cpu heavy), and streams with all sorts of overlays at the same time.

Welcome to LTT! Feel free to PM me if you just wanna chat, I love conversation!

If you ever have any audio questions, wether it's software, hardware, or production and theory, feel free to ask me. Odds are I can help you, or get you help.

the 6700k is sufficient for his needs, but if he's really paranoid he can get the 5820k, but i wouldnt suggest that he do

More than enough, depending on what software he will use for streaming.

XSplit really likes hogging CPU power, and OBS barely impact it at all.

Theory is when you know everything but nothing works. Practice is when everything works but you dont know why. In this computer, theory and practice are combined: Nothing works and i dont know why.

Atleast i can manage Some things, like my current OC personal best.

If so, then the 6700K got plenty of power.

Lmao. He didn't want that. He asked me if that was the best CPU and I told him the 5960X was the best. He asked me how much, told him to check it out, he never looked at it again xD

Well you could actually also get the 4790k and save quite a bit of money for almost the same performance so... but if money isn't a problem why not get the 5820k or even better then lol.

Because the motherboards are expensive. I meant money isn't an issue for the CPU.
