So i changed my case from a Carbide 01 case to a Corsair 400c, I am using mu H80i GT as an intake now instead of an exhaust... Only now it seems that has shaved around 20C off my Aida64 stress test temps, i can now only top out at 52C. Have i broken something? :S Or is a chassis transplant and cooler rearrangement really make 20C difference? o.O

20C is pretty extreme, but if your CPU test scores haven't dropped at all and all your CPU cores are still being utilized at 100% while testing - then there's no reason to suspect anything isn't working properly. Having a rad as an intake allows it to be cooled by fresh room temp air, if you had a lot of heat build up in your case this could give you much better temps. However, a case with good airflow should not be that much hotter than room temperature.

It depends on other components and how much intake did you have. If there were 0 or 1 intake fans, then it would make sense, since the h80i fan probably didn't push as much air as it could. Also, why are you saying it like cpu running at 52°C is a bad thing?

Its not a bad thing, i was just wondering if i had broken something :P Also its the same setup as before with a pull-push but now its an intake not an exhaust

I can't imagine how one would broke cpu in a way that would lower the temps, except if we would be talking about cpu sitting at running temperature since it doesn't even work. Only way that something is actually wrong is if someone switched your cpu and I doubt that's the case either.

You have the temps from aida stress testing, do you also have some kind of performance score? If you do, you can compare those. If they aren't off by a huge amount, everything is fine.

What is the most believable scenario, as I've mentioned earlier, is that in your old case the h80i fan didn't work to it's full potential and/or was affected by other hot components.

Thanks all Cinebench is giving me what i had before, so i am assuming that my pipes where under stress and exhausting air, they now have a nicer curve to them and are intakeing some nice cool fresh air.

Again, thanks all, i was super worried i had broken a sensor or something and RealTemp was telling me everything was ok but infact i was cooking my cpu :P
