Strange issue with sceen

Go to solution Solved by Krzych,

All right, I know what caused this - setting color depth to 10 bpc in Nvidia Control Panel. I don't know if this is problem with monitor or graphics card (980Ti), but those white blinking stripes appear almost instantly after setting 10 bpc color depth. They doesn't seem to be apparent in fullscreen applications, but on desktop, browser and everything windowed they are there. Getting back to 8 bpc helps instantly and this is why factory reset helped, screen automatically went back to 8 bpc in control panel after reset.

Hi,

I got LG 34UC98 few days ago and its great, but I encountered one strange issue yesterday. I think picture will describe it better than me, so I made representation of a problem in Paint:

So here so some white stripes. They appearing one at the time for just a blink only on the right side of panel. They are not there while loading system, in bios and etc, they are starting to appear after entering system.

However, after reseting monitor to factory default it stopped to happen, at least for now.

Is it known issue? Why is it happening?

Thanks for any help.

Not even one. I did reset yesterday at night before going to sleep and I was looking at it for few minutes (before they were appearing instantly after Windows loading is complete) and now I am also watching it closely but so far nothing happens. This is why it is so strange, how factory reset can eliminate such problems? Especially if I didn't made any significant changes from default settings, brightness from 100 to 0, contrast from 70 to 75 and black stabilizer from 50 to 60 and this is all I have done on first day.

If you still have warranty on it then good- if this happens again, return it. Don't risk it. Not sure why the stock reset did help but it sounds like a weird one.

I have it for 7 days, so I still have 7 days to returning it and getting refund without even saying why, so if it happens again I will just get refund and buy another one. But I would like to know what is this problem, maybe its not monitor related if it is not happening during system loading or in bios.

Anyway, I will watch it closely. If anyone have any idea what is this problem, please post it here.
