Salvaging purposes

Go to solution Solved by Epiclol86,

there are some mini-itx mobo's out there that support FCPGA946 (which is the socket your cpu uses) which are made for imbedded pc's for industrial applications. i would not reccomend it though. these motherboards are not made for gaming, have a single ram slot and a single pci-e slot. you are better off either buying a specialised laptop motherboard (which can be really complicated to get into a decent case) or buying another cpu...

Is there any desktop grade motherboard which can use laptop processor and ram's, so we could salvage the laptop parts and reuse them.

i have a lenovo ideapad y510p which has an intel 4700mq processor, but the laptop has issues with the motherboard regarding charging and power,

so is there any solution for rebuilding it as an desktop.
