I am going to be building a mineral oil pc for my dad to edit videos. he will be putting it under high loads constantly. I am looking to find out what graphics card I should get for this build. the graphics card(s) need to be able to work well with this motherboard which will be running a i7 6700k with around 32GBs of RAM. if you have any suggestions plz let me know. Thanks!

Assuming he's also gaming and using programs with GPU acceleration with no budget? GTX 980Ti.

 

Otherwise, he can just use the iGPU.

he will not be gaming and plz try to keep it under reason like for instance no quad titan Xs. The max budget is 1k. Also keep in mind of the fact that this is going to be used for editing and not 4k Virtual Reality Creation or whatever.

What programs does you dad use? Because some video editing programs like Sony Vegas use CUDA/OpenGL/GPU acceleration.

1k for the build or 1k for the gpu?

because 1k USD is a lot for a gpu

IIRC, Adobe Premiere uses CUDA/GPU Acceleration. I'd probably go 980Ti.
