do those dvi to component adapters work(http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/419xVBTRxZL.jpg) i have an extra pc and wanna use it as a media pc. my 65 inch rear projection's hdmi port broke thanks to my wife fn puppy finding its way behind the tv and snapping the port by pushing against it. the tv has in my opinion as good or better pic than the flat screens ive seen plus i dont have 2k to spend on a new same size tv.

i have an old  eah3450/di/256m that i will use for now and will be upgrading it to an asus 7870 when i upgrade to new amd 9000 series on my gaming pc

pc is a maximus ii formula 8gb ram 240 gig ssd with windows 7pro 550w
also it has an antec veris media pc lcd
