Planning my first build

Kahman10

1. Budget & Location

I am buying all parts from Canadian retailers so therefore the price should remain in CAD$.

2. Aim

I want to play games such as WoW, LoL, GTAV, Skyrim and the like all in 60fps or higher at high to ultra settings, WoW and skyrim specifically. I also plan on streaming said games as well as minecraft. I want this machine to be able to run the game at the settings mentioned, have a browswer or streaming software going and either Skype and team-speak on at all times.

3. Monitors

I plan on running two monitors, which have been mentioned in the build below. I am dead set on these as i am a game tester and these are imo the best I have seen in the office.

4. Peripherals

The only thing i will need is a mouse, with a heavier weight than normal. I have a Logitech g710+ and i love it.

5. Other things of note

I would like keep the case that is in the parts list and the color scheme is to be black with red accents. I am also looking for a cpu cooler and am currently considering the Noctua NH-14.

6. Last but not least, the parts list:

Welcome to the forums :D

might i suggest you read our general guidelines before u continue your adventure

i tweaked your list a bit

changed the gpu from 970 to 390 for extra vram and performance at a lower cost

changed your psu to a better one, 550W is fine

also, i recommend the dark rock pro 3 if you're into looks and performance in air cooling, though it doesnt have a stated price in the pc part picker for now

Spoiler

That looks good, does this PSU allow headroom to add more storage drives? like eventually a 4TB drive or more SSD type storage.

Drive´s take up like a couple watts at best. It should be fine. If your worried, I believe you can get a 650 watt gq for a bit cheaper.

What would you recommend for a cpu cooler? I want to invest in an air cooler that i can use for a long time and bring from build to build.
