Ok, you have a AMD fx 6300. How is it with modern titles?

FX-6300 + R9 380 is a quite good combo. Obviously can't play at 60fps stable on everything at max, but with something less useful turned down and at 1080p, i get at least 40fps in most games.

I'd get an i3 or i5 and a 380.

Can't for budget reasons. I can still get the cores the i5 haves and the clock speed and better speed by overclocking. I am getting a motherboard that can handle a overclock on this processor to 5 gigahertz. It seems to have the better price for performance.

There's no way you'll be able to hit 5ghz without excellent cooling and an excellent chip. But I see what you mean.

Heard it from a video. Yeah probably fake but still this AMD chip is good for overclocking when the i3 is locked. Also AMD has the cores needed for any game when the i3 can hurt performance on games like gta 5 because of it's 2 cores.
