So I'm new to this forum (first post) and I'm experiencing some issues with my newly built gaming rig. So I built this PC about a month ago and I'm still trying to dial it in and I have some questions. The relevant hardware I'm using consists of a MSI 970 gaming MOBO, FX6300 BLK w/ H110i GT cooling, Asus Radeon R9 390, 2x Kingston HyperX fury 120gb raid 0, and a 750 watt solid gear PSU (everything is on my profile). When I first setup this PC it had a mild OC @4.1GHz and everything was super snappy and could run games at very high to ultra settings with no issues (1080 by the way). But I got bored and started messing with my overclock and that's when things started going south. I'm new to overclocking and still learning but after about 2 hours of trying to up my overclock I could not get windows to boot. So at this point I was just trying to get windows to boot at all so I settled @4.3GHz, I ran that on prime95 for about 2 hours and got no errors or warnings. But now my whole PC seems to be running slower or lagging. Data transfer rates are low, slow download speeds, and worst of all now I'm getting blue checkerboard artifacts, screen lag and sometimes my whole system freezes while gaming. I know I was messing with my voltages alot and thats why it took me so long to get something stable but don't know if that's the issue. I've noticed while under load my CPU will rapidly jump 10-15 degrees but my waterblock will stay a constant temp. Is that considered thermal throttling? If so how could I stop this? Any help will be appreciated I just want to get it running right again. I can be more specific about my voltages once I get home.

THANKS!

Artifacting on screen is serious.  That is generally graphics card related,  and might need a driver reinstall or could point to a deeper problem like a bad graphics card. Please keep us posted on how it goes!

I try to answer the best I can.

Please realize that 95% of issues can be solved through Google.  I'll try to help,  but you need to Google yourself.

I would consider completely deleting and reinstalling AMD's whole suite. I have had worse problems than that with one of my old hard drives and reinstalling the suite fixed it. It's still working great after two months now.

Alright so last night when I got home I completely reinstalled ALL my drivers updated my bios and reset all my setting in the bios. I did some research on overclocking my CPU and found out that I may have missed some steps on the previous overclock like disabling some settings and what not. So I redid my overclock and got it stable @4.3GHz and 1.41v and it seems to be running great temps are staying consistent although it did crash once after playing Primal for about 2 hours I ran the benchmark a couple times with no issues so I don't know why it crashed maybe steam? But Ive gotten no artifacting even with ultra settings on Valley so I think... think that its running right again
