GPU for i3-6100

Tqn

Hi, which gpu should I buy to i3-6100?

New cheap gtx950 (170$)  or new high end gtx950 (185$ - FTW, Xtreme Gaming or so), new XFX R9 380 DD (200$), or used GTX960(200$)? (all prices with VAT and for 2GB, others are over budget, im playing FHD so not really an issue)

R9 380 is more powerfull than nv and has DX12/Vulkan future , right? But the tricky question, is i3-6100 enough to handle R9 (driver overhead)?  (also my PSU is Corsair VS450, but it should be ok)

Anything gtx960 and lower on the NVidia side and anything 380 or lower on the AMD side should be fine. Better card than that are not reccomend but will still work relatively fine.

You should get the 380, don't worry about the PSU you should be fine seeing how you could run an i7 and a 980ti on a 450W as long as its high quality

CPU - Intel i5-6600K 4.7Ghz
MOBO - ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming
GPU - GALAX GTX 1080 EX OC SNPR
RAM - Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 8GB
SSD - Samsung 850 Evo 250GB

HDD - Seagate Barracuda 4TB
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
CASE - Corsair Obsidian 450D
PSU - EVGA Supernova 750 G2

I find PC part pickers wattage calculator to be a bit strange sometimes. I prefer the cooler master PSU wattage calculator. Have a look. It's much better

So i've bought this XFX R9 380 and performance was good... but it was hot like hell (89*C in furmark, 82-85 in games) + super loud, so I've returned it to seller.

I think I should go with small gtx950. FTW or XTREME GAMING ( they are quite cheap) or maybe just simple windforce?

Should be fine, on the edge. I am still a little skeptical about your PSU. Double check before you buy!

Wouldn't be worried about PSU, it's ~300W load after all with R9 380, and this Corsair can do 400W+ on 12v rail and it worked without problems.

You probably had bad airflow or probably just hot ambient temperatures. Expect high temperatures for FurMark for ANY GPU.
