I am planning to build PC strictly for the purpose of video editing and NO gaming would be done on that.

This is what I have planned- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xC3FFT

If you have anything better please leave a PC part picker link. I have a max budget of $2250.

I need that 1TB SSD and a fanless Cooler for Silence. I am not really sure about the case and if something with good noise isolation is under $100 include that.

I need the PSU to be beefy for because I may SLI the GPU in future.

Not looking for any aesthetic and you can make the PC as ugly as possible just make sure it is silent.

You might consider the i7-5820k. It is also a 6 core processor that would work on the same motherboard. It might even save you a few bucks and you would get stronger performance per core. I think your case choice is spot on, although you could probably find a define r4 which almost the same exact case for cheaper as well. Other than those 2 thoughts your build looks pretty spot on.

Why do you have a more expensive 5820K with a lower frequency? I suppose it has a bit better TDP but still.

The Define S is the one built for silence, but I think you're still going to need some kind of fan on the cooler given the TDP on the X99 chips

Sentry Mix 2 Fan Controller

And the fire pro cards are probably going to give you more for your money, same with the SSD here

Dual Workstation GPUs isn't going to be worth it for video editing, the PSU is just there for silence.

AFAIK workstation gpus are the samething, except with ECC memory and 10x the pricetag

pretty sure the memory is the same, it's just that the cards come with way better optimized drivers for things like video editing scrubbing and they tend to support more displays for better productivity, with the fire pro cards able to handle up to 6 4k displays

if you're doing professional work you'd want one, and the W7100 costs as much as the 980ti, and comes with 2 more GBs of VRAM though that doesn't matter for video editing, it's the quadro cards from nvidia that are seemingly a rip off with the pricing.

Instead of LGA 2011 V3 you could go with the older 2011 LGA and get two E5 2670s on Ebay for about 140ish. That would give you 16 cores and 32 threads at 2.6GHz with a 3.3GHz boost. The dual socket motherboard will cost you about 400ish though. Still a great deal and you can get 64GB of ECC DDR3 for about 130ish. It will definitely beat the 2620 V3 at rendering.
