Hello everybody,

this is my first post... I'll start letting you know what system im working on:

Intel I7 6700k (@ default settings right now)

Asus Z170 a

16gb DDR4 ram HyperX @ 2133mhz

my friend's old gpu  ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (im waiting for the new Nvidia series)

Samsung SSD 850  350gb

2TB HDD

Windows 10 Professional

I have built my pc primarly for work, I spent all day setting up Hyper V and Android Studio but both said my system does not have Vt-x

Android wants it in order to install intel HAXM

Reading on the web it looks like my system should have Intel Virtualization technology, in fact checking on the BIOS I found already enabled under Advance settings--> cpu settings Intel Virtualization ---> enabled

I also found Vt-d, it was disbled and i enabled it, but i still cant instal Intel HAXM or run Virtual Machines with VirtualBox (i dont know why i got one working with Hyper V)...

Can please someone help me ? I havent found any post on the web reporting Virtualization incompatibility with the 6700k...

Thank you to everyone,

Luca

I have no ideas...

It doesn't make sense to me...

I disabled the voice "Intel Virtualization Technology" and it was letting me install HAXM until the end when it said "your system is able to run HAXM but you need to turn on VT-x "

Then i went in the bios to re-enable it, i tried again and now, as before i turned it off, it does not even let me start the installation saying my system does not support it!!
