Sound Card/AMP/DAC

I´m trying to figure out if i need to buy a sound card or an AMP or a DAC to power my (future) speakers and/or my (future) headset that is reccomended to have an AMP with. Do i need one or does it even matter?

depends on your motherboard's built in sound card,

most premium motherboard, like the Asus ROG Maximus VIII Formula can support almost every headset you can throw at it

It matters if you have lots of electrical noise with your onboard audio, but apart from that its only really useful if you either love perfect audio or are a professional singer or something lol.

yeah i haven´t bought anything yet, i don´t even have a PC yet but i´m going to be building one in the coming month/s and i´m wondering if i have to buy a sound card etc. and i´m thinking of buying the Gigabyte S1151 GA-Z170-Gaming K3 motherboard
