Nvidia Driver 364.51

[Kobolobob]

Geforce Experience said i have a driver update available, 364.51, but as i recall there were major problems with this driver a couple of days ago, major crashes who resulted in hardware failure in some cases, is it safe to use now or should i hold off for the next update again?

It's completely safe if you remove your drivers with DDU ( Display driver unistaller ) then check " clean installation " at drivers options during installation

It was 364.47 that was having issues, 364.51 is the new hotfix/whql driver.

According to people over at the Geforce forums, many still are having issues

Yeah but over at GUR3D due to the size of the user base lots have issues with every driver.

Personally I never had a issue with either or the new drivers, and currently running 364.51 

 

Best way to install without all the other crap is to extract the installer and delete folders then run the install.,

IIRC, it is only people doing the basic/express install.  If you use a custom install then you should be fine, but the again companies lie about this sorta thing a lot.

not sure if i wanna take the chance tbh, i mean 362.00 still has issues for me (it crashes alot while playing Rise of the Tomb Raider) but at least it aint possibly killing my hardware or forcing me to refresh win10

Meh, ill stick to the 362 drivers, seems too flaky for me
