Do you guys just think it's because people aren't using the latest drivers? I'm probably not going to get this game anyways since I haven't finished Absolution lol. That ran amazing on my fairly high end rig, but it looks like people with AMD cards as well as Nvidia are having a boat load of issues.

Probably just a rushed port. Deadlines are a bitch.

What really bugs me is that AMD has worked closely with them on DX12 optimization and bragged how good it performed and bundled it with their cards. And deadlines don't mean anything since they didn't have to finish jack due to the episode system.

single 980 on max details at 55fps seems about right for current titles so i would assume turn of dat AA. Have not played it myself yet but not heard till now of anyone with any complaints.

Smh. Your comment made me lose brain cells. This is the issue with people who look at stuff for less than a second then come up with a conclusion. Have you even looked at steam? It's mostly negative reviews because of performance issues. Anyone can pull up a bunch of numbers and call it a benchmark.

Its all marketing fluff.  Also a deadline is a deadline, they're contractually bound by the publisher to release on time. I don't think you appreciate how much work there is that has to get done. Sweeping engine modifications, Assets need to be massaged engine ready form, Normal maps, textures, specular maps all have to be re rendered, ect. (I could keep the list going for a very long time). Its still no excuse for a poor title but I can empathize with them.

if you look at every benchmark so far its all max settings max detail. People just do not want to turn things down.

I actually don't appreciate what they have done. Because if you know anything about the game, there's literally only 1 map available as of now other than the tutorial. They're releasing episodes in an unknown timeframe and all they had to do was get one map done alright, and they partnered with AMD which is what annoys me the most since AMD used this game to market their tech. People were complaining about Arkham Knight when that was a game probably more than 10x the size of what Hitman is now.

apart from drm complaints which are all about having to be online, its the usual low fps complaints. And if you check sites that run benchmarks it seems to fit into place just fine. I cant think of a modern title that at max details max everything will run at wicked fps all the time. It hurts but turn the settings down or change them one by one and find whats tanking it.

You have no idea what you're talking about and didn't bother to read the reviews. I don't want to argue, but if you want to contribute something informative at least read the reviews first. Specs ranged anywhere from GTX 770 to 980Ti SLI, from the people who complained about performance. Both cards are at and well above the recommended requirements.

Latest driver

DX12

Can't play freezes.

DX11 might fix the freezes, but from what I've read. You'll get really choppy framerates even at lowest settings if you're playing 1080p/

I read steam and ive been to the benchmarks for ranges of cards. Steam is full of low fps complaints but noone has said what settings they use. Benchmarks of max settings with 55 average are within range so its a case of tweaking.

exactly, so if in the benchmark the 980ti gets 70fps at max settings, yet people are having framerate issues and they have 2 980ti's. Don't you see the discrepancy?

I assume 70 is the average an not a max? If its one 890ti at max settings 70 average seems ok. If its 2 in sli then sli profile is borked. We can get angry and complain to the developers and publishers all we want but optimisation is a thing of the past unfortunately. At least before release, its usually always optimise after bit by bit. We , gamers whatever have complained for several years now and well things aint changing. How long before we flip table and walk away? If say 70 is an everage on a single card at max everything then thats ok, but if people cant replicate the benchmarks then thats an issue.

Do you realize people can lie on benchmarks to sell products? And it should get fixed soon. Just disappointing that this came from amd.
