Razer vs. Logitech

Also, the g910 has 9 macro keys as well as 3 profiles for a combined ability to map 27 macros. However, the G810 has the ability to program the F keys as macros so you have some of that functionality. Also it has a more reserved aesthetic as well as normal keycaps and is smaller which may factor into your decision. Personally, I like the macro keys and the size doesn't bother me, and I've grown to enjoy the goofy keycaps and gaudy look. So like I said, it all comes down to personal preference in the end. Also, when considering a keyboard you have to realize there are many different kinds of key switches. What's good for one person may not be good for you. Some people like clicky, some don't. Some like a more pronounced bump, while others dislike having any feedback and would prefer to have a linear key switch. Still others prefer topre keyboards, which is a hybrid between a normal membrane keyboard and a mechanical one which has a bump at the beginning of the keypress instead of in the middle like cherry and it's clones. My recommendation to you is to either go to Best Buy or if you're lucky enough to live close to a micro center and try out all the different keyboards to get an idea for what you like. You could also order a keyswitch tester from amazon for around 7-20 bucks which has the different kinds of switches that you can try to get a feel for what you enjoy.

Oh well, the mob I'm getting has Keybot II, which I can assign macros to basically any key on the keyboard.

I wouldnt go razer anymore. Had 2 razer DAs, 3.5 and 2013. Both bad worn out switches within a year. So for mice there are many options and a lot of them are subjective. Mionix, Logitech, and roccat. Best thing is go to a store and try as many out as you can and see whats comfortable.

Keyboards: If the budget allows go with someone like Ducky or Das.  Cooler Master has some good ones. Look at ones that have the size and features you want. There are plenty of articles on google for which switch type to choose.

Headsets: Generally speaking headphones from audiophile manufacturers will have much better audio quality than gaming headsets. Audio Technica and Seinheiser are good off top of my head. When you look at headsets determine if you want more immersive sound, isolation, or positional audio. There is a great audio section in forums here for that. For mics, you can get a mod mic for any set headphones or get a deaktop mic like a blue snowball. Overall, you get better in and put out better audio by getting a seperate set of headphones and mic.

Most of this is subjective and down to what you as a person likes. Going to a store and trying as much out as you can is a good place to start. Even go to your friends and try out their stuff.

Logitech over Razer anytime for me. Im using my second G9x since the first Realse of this Mouse. My Habu (Deathadder) was fucked up after 6 Months. Cheap and overpriced.

Razer would be good if there build quality was better. Most of there keyboard get complaints after 6 months of use, some keys tend to stop working. As for mice, I would get logitech and for keyboards Corsair. Hoped this helped ya out

When it comes to peripherals I would strongly suggest you to try as much different keyboard/mouse/headphones models before you pull the trigger because In the end, it all comes down to personal preference and ergonomics.

G910 is awesome keyboard imho, but it does have quite unusual key caps so it will take some time to get used to it. If you go with G910 be prepared to make a lot of typing mistakes... Also, this is one big ass keyboard so make sure you have plenty of room on your desk :)

Otherwise I love it, beautiful RGB lightning, rubbery feeling of the keys, simple but effective Logitech G software... For me, it was love at first sight.

Although there are a lot of great manufacturers I prefer Logitech, as I always had great experience with their hardware and I would recommend it. If you don't need G keys (which I personally never use) you might want to consider G810 Orion Spectrum which is somewhat cheaper and had less "gaming" look, or maybe even G410 Atlas Spectrum if you like tenkeyless keyboards... Oh yeah, G410 key caps are improvement over 910s strange keys, so this is something you should consider as well if you will do a lot of typing. At the moment, on Logitech site you get a copy of The Division included with the purchase of G910, G810 or G410 so that is a nice little bonus,
