Problems with on screen keyboard, please help...

I'm using Windows 10 on my ThinkPad X230 Tablet and the onscreen keyboard is not doing so well for me. Firstly when ever I type above 10 WPM it starts putting accents around my letters... I speak English and have only English selected..... Also when I use the onscreen keyboard it takes up LITERALLY half my screen.....And it doesn't have a way to make it smaller. So my question, How do I remove the accents and how do I make the Windows 10 on screen keyboard smaller?
