Hey all, the problem is "sometimes" when i use a spell on league of legends or any other game or even typing (mainly league is the problem), it will fail to actualy register the key press or it will register it some MS later. For example i throw a lee sin q in one direction and start walking the oposite direction and then my q decides to get thrown where im tring to walk say 100-200+ms later. This goes for all button i use and when typing somtimes fails to type the key at all or does it in the wrong spot.

Im using a Maximus Hero VIII motherboard, 980ti, 6700k 16gb ram, 750 series ssd.

Also if my mouse is left unused for a time it will have a breaf delay on moving when i go to use it again as it its turned of then back on?

Things ive done to try fix this:

Tried every USB port all are the same.

Tried ps2 keyboard which im unsure (havnt tested enough) and not sure what to expect from it..

Tested 2 different USB keyboards both same issue (Razer Blackwindow Tournament Edition/Stealth Edition)

Uninstalled/Reinstalled Razer Synapse

Tested without Razer synapse

Uninstalled/Reinstalled USB drivers

I really dont want to RMA my motherboard if at all possible, maybe a way to test if it is a hardware issue?

Try testing a non razer KB. If it still lags i would recommend a clean install of windows before RMAing a mobo as that would be a total pain in the ass.

Also check for bios and chipset updates. And try a different USB port.

I don't know if this is related or not, but I've using a VII Hero and when I plug my wireless keyboard/mouse in it creates a noticeable input delay on my Strafe and G502. I've tried all sorts to fix it but I can't find a solution unfortunately.

hmm wierd, im curious as to if the Corsair Link is somthing to do with it. But maybe its the usb controller on the hero boards? I think the hero viii was one of the early viii board so may be using some of the same hardware as the vii? this is the most frustrating thing ever for any gamer i swear

Okay I had the exact same issue. I am assuming your using version 4 correct? When you keyboard starts to lag again, alt+tab out to your task manager. You will see that corsairlink4service.exe will have a very high cpu usage. Mine was sitting around 49% and had one core completely maxed out at 100%. If you go in and close the program and stop the service the keyboard will stop lagging.
