might add amd 6 core overclocked a touch and full atx board

o.O

In a lot of games, even AMD's top of the line FX chips bottleneck a 980Ti. Just a heads up that the CPU would be likely to hold you back.

A good 750W would be enough for either of those GPU setups, unless you have something else ridiculous in the system.

Personal recommendation would be EVGA's GS and G2 series.

would that be fully modular ?

..... I'm saving for the godlike msi board lol

For a lot of games, you're better off going for a entry Intel i5 like the i5 4460 and spending less on the board. They have better IPC than AMD's chips, making them better for applications that don't use multiple threads as much (like games, which typically use 4 threads or less).

so I have a ocz 500w making noises and I want to get a New psu I would like it to support 2 cards (gtx970)or 1 (980ti) 8 fans max 4 hard drives. WHAT SIZE DO I NEED LOL ,big thanks

I'd spend your money on one 970 now and not put a CPU bottleneck in there with it for one. But if you want a quieter PSU, the EVGA B2/GS/GQ/G2 are all good options as is the Antec HCG, Seasonic G-series, Corsair RMx and dozens more.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Corsair's RMi series are good, but somewhat more expensive than other units of the same quality.

Gotcha. Well I wouldn't pair it with an FX series nonetheless. All the aforementioned PSUs are good options. Check out the PSU whitelist in my sig.
