Mic doesn't work

Whenever I have mumble open my mod mic doesnt seem to work in anything else (steam, origin, uplay, and even in the windows sound manager) anyone know how to fix this?

Under your microphone properties go to the Advanced tab and uncheck the "Allow Applications to take exclusive control of this device". Let us know if this fixes the issue.

That seems to have worked, but whenever I'm in game now my mic will randomly get a huge boost in mumble and everyone can hear my keyboard/mouse

I haven't used Mumble before, however you should be able to change the output levels. There's also an output level adjuster in the properties under the "Levels" tab for your Microphone. Depending on the Mic it will show Microsoft Volume and/or Microphone Boost. Turn the Microphone boost to 0dB.

 

If this doesn't work you will have to go through Mumbles settings as it sounds like Mumble it'self is taking priority over the Microphone.

It's at 100, but boost is already low as possible, it seems to only happen when im in game
