Windows - File Identify and Relocate Script

Basically, with my configuration, I have media (say an episode of anime for argument's sake) which will show up in a specific folder on my computer. From there, I usually manually sort the files to separate folders on another drive.

Being a programming noob, what kind of script would allow for some kind of automation for this?

  1. Looks through a specific folder and identifies new file by a string in the file name i.e. ".....my file....txt" (where I can just go in and add new names as arguments to locate more files)
  2. Move identified file to an associated folder elsewhere (again, being able to specify the destination related to each name)
  3. [Not necessary] Renames file to delete all characters before the string it used to identify i.e. "[delete this]my file....txt"
  4. Loops every x minutes to re-search

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is what your looking for, but you can use a program like FileBot to automatically rename media files. You can use its automation features to watch directories and sort into different folders as well
