Headphone Recommendation

    I am currently still using my super worn-out HD 205's, which I had to get a new cable and solder it on. Only one side works now and I need to upgrade. Can anyone recommend headphones that sound good and are comfortable for long use in the sub-$70 (US) range? I don't need a headset as I have a standalone mic. They also don't need to have "Booming Bass", just sound good all around.

I agree but you can turn off the mic :3

But year i see what u mean. Kida pointless with the mic

I really don't want/need a headset. My experience with headsets is slim to none. The last headset I had was 2-3 years ago because i went through 5 in a month. I'm happy with throwing around (Literally) my ATR 2500 and my samson go mic. Both cheap and easily replaced but great quality.

 

I'm tough on my equipment and on ear/over ear would be great. As I said I have HD 205's (On ear) but only one side works.

Yeah i have litterly no experience with Headphones so shop around or hopefully someone can find some for u :3

My advice, go into a store and look at some!

Yeah, the leather on the earcuffs of my 205's is burned off too from the soldering iron, and depending on the way they're bent, they may not make a good connection, therefore you need to fix them or else they'll be really quiet.

Those may actually be perfect! (Two cables of different sizes, and DETACHABLE!) I need a detachable cable because that's the easiest part to break.

So they came in today. So far so good. They don't put much pressure on my head (to the point where I forget they're there), they sound great, and the cable lengths are just perfect.
